Bah, finally recording my weight at 195 as that what its been at every morning since Saturday. I know I am recording my calories properly, drinking a ton of water, I cant eat any less calories healthily and I have been exercising my ass off, so this weight gain/mini plateau is what it is. I cant fix it and i cant really do anymore than what I've been doing, so i will keep on, and wait for the numbers to show my work, I'd be lying if i said i wasn't a bit discouraged.

I know what you mean. You already know you're doing the right stuff so keep at it & see what happens in a couple days...that happens to me like every WEEK but it always comes back down. It will for you too! Now go get shredded, girl!

Is it by any chance near your time of the month? That does it to me every time. I think you have a good attitude. Keep it up and the weight will come off!

Do not be discouraged!!! girl you may not be losing weight in numbers but make sure you measure yourself so you can keep track of inches lost...also every day that you continue to eat better and work out you are building a habit!!! habits are really good because once they are established they are easier to stick to....so keep doing what you are doing..and keep in mind you may stay stagnant if your period is coming...the week before mine I always bloat up...so even though I am not seeing results, i know that they will show soon...I was super bad yesterday... I am hoping I will be better today... lol

Thanks guys! My TOM ended Friday, on the day I got the 193. In the future, I think I may wait and see if a low number sticks before recording it to avoid discouragement. I should switch to a weekly weigh-in instead, but my curiousity wins over everytime. :)

Also, if I were to assume the diet calendar is completely correct, I've lost 5 pounds of fat, which is almost exactly what the scale shows, 195 from 200.5, so perhaps I shouldn't want or expect more than that, huh?

I think this ALWAYS happens! To me anyway. I only record my lowest weights. And then I usually don't see that number again for at least a week. It's all about water. The hard truth is that if you're eating right and exercising, you are NOT gaining fat. Period. I don't even know if it would be possible to gain a pound of fat in one day if you ate a mountain of cookies! Maybe. But not 3 pounds. Those numbers are really quite meaningless in the short term. You just need to figure out how to make the scale work for you without being worried about the fluctuations. They are inevitable.

thanks so much, kate! It really helped to think of it that way, and of course you're right, that if there is no caloric surplus there is no reason for the body to store fat. And pounds of fat are what I'm concerned about, not pounds of water or pounds of muscle! Science saves the day again, thanks for the huge burst of motivation. :D

YAY for science :) I'm telling you, once you get a rational grip on these things it gets sooo much easier. I was exactly the same way (getting frustrated, upset, etc) until I realized it was just normal. Nothing to see here, keep moving on :) Glad to help.

Its also when you eat and what you eat. Eat the higher fats, calories, and sugars in the Morning and steadily go down from there. Also never ever ever eat within 4 hours of bed time. Everything you eat/drink then will be instantly fating. But really dont get down. keep at it and someday soon you'll wake up and see bigger drops in weight.
