Siegels's Journal, 20 April 2019

Good morning all. This season is about celebrating freedom and starting over. I'm trying to focus on the lessons that bind us so I can be happier and more successful.

Passover reminds us that we have not always had the freedom to choose who we want to be. Some of us got those freedoms more recently than others. Yet others still wait.

Easter reminds us that one can achieve rebirth even when it appears that all is lost. Find the opportunity each darkest moment presents, even when no one else can see it.

No matter what our background, we can all use this weekend to focus on the lessons in these stories, passed down for thousands of years.

Everyday is an opportunity to exercise our freedom and start over as the person we want to be.

So true. At Maundy Thursday the Priest spoke of societies tendency to have chronological snobbery. These stories are not new. History repeats.
