Alright, this 300 pound mark is getting a bit tired!! Plateau anyone?? Anybody have any tips to break this thing?? I've lost almost fourty pounds in five months, and now it's like my body has stopped! I've been steady for weeks now...maybe I need to increase exercise?? Or maybe my body is just trying to adjust?? Argh!
300.0 lb Lost so far: 30.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Jonny, Stick with it, buddy. I was on a similar plateau for about 8 weeks, and it seemed the same for me, but I'll tell you what -- I made a couple of small adjustments, and, hopefully, I'm back on track. Lost 4 1/2 lbs. last week. What I did was: 1. Renewed my priorities and commitment to losing. It seems that after my initial success, I was just coasting, expecting that the weight would just come off if I "sort of" stayed with the program. But I realized that WW wasn't in the forefront of my thinking, and the cheating and mind games started to build up. So I just re-focused, and paid very close attention to what was going in my mouth. Wrote everything down, drank lots of water, etc. 2. I didn't increase my exercise, but I did change it up a little. I was doing way too much cardio-training, and just tiring myself out. Our WW leader explained that while cardio is good, when you build muscle, your body burns more calories by trying to maintain that muscle. Give these a try, and most important, don't give up. Hey there! Oh yeah...been there! The plateau ride is not fun...To help me I practically drown myself with water 124 oz a day at least and up'ed the exercise some. I found however, that it took my body a bit to adjust to the weight loss I had before. It seemed to me it was 'getting use to' being my new weight, ya know? Then when it was ready I started to lose a bit again. Hang in there buddy....you're really don't so well!!! Good luck to ya!!

Thanks guys..I agree with what your saying about re evaluation charlie, I have started to count points in my head instead of writing them down..time to tighten up the reigns a bit again!

Also try eating totally different foods for a little bit - stuff your body isn't used to digesting. I've heard it can shake things up a bit.
