wannabhealthier's Journal, 09 April 2019

Calm your mind.. set your intentions..allow the universe to work..

As I layed in bed this morning I was thinking ..that at the end of the month comparing my numbers I get from my scales may be the motivation I need to stay off the salty foods that I enjoy..or the sugar foods that always seem to jump in my cart at walmart...

I also read an article a few days ago that said getting exercise a few hours before bedtime revs up your metabolism...the ride I did on zwift yesterday was around 230 or so..got off bike about 4pm...had my protein shake and that kept me satisfied..until just now...7am...just had protein shake...and after I journal will have my breakfast...

The weight that’s coming off this week..is the salty bacon ritz crackers from a few days ago...the reason my water intake was high in the numbers...or that’s my guess..

Sinuses are better today..I know that’s just for the time being...yesterday they was flowing like a river...today so far the dam is working..

Today’s tuesday...hoping my new bike arrives at bike shop so they can start getting it ready...wasn’t to excited last week..but as time gets nearer...like a little kid waiting to play...

Suppose to rest from zwift today..have another ride scheduled Wednesday or Thursday...was gonna ride this morning..but once I seen the scales smiling...I thought what the heck...

Welp..another 70s here again today ...sun is up and shining...and here I set..57...now..I’m waiting on warmer temps..gonna be summer shorts today...and short sleeves for sure...short lived..50s Thursday thru a few days after...o well..take them nice days...

Gotta go..gotta go..have a great day...

Nice drop and post Mike. Can't wait to see some pics of you on your new bike...will it be strictly on the trainer or share road duties with the Trek?

Ty Steven...I’m just not sure about outside riding at the time being...the guy I to ride with understands my eye sight problems..however...since my wreck and my vision loss..over time our friendship has suffered..I think my wreck was harder on him then me...what I see from it all...made me a stronger person..inside and outside...my one year anniversary...is 4days away..and I have moved on..just..happened to be my day..soon as I get my trainer and new bike IL post some pics...

Not that I would expect ANYONE to try this but a couple of years ago while up at my Ranch in Sequoia I met two gals who had stopped to fix a flat on one of their bikes. I quickly realized that the one girl was blind and riding the mountain roads using echo location. I’ve seen programs about it on TV but this was the first time I had seen it in real life. The roads are steep and curvy. Blew me away.

I to have seen shows on tv km...how blind people can make noises...and depending on how long it takes for sound to travel..pretty interesting...

Wannabehealthier— it was crazy watching her ride that bike—- making constant clicking noises and going downhill on a mountain road and being able to stay in control. They were doing a 150 mile ride. So fascinating. I’m was really glad to have seen it first hand. Her friend rode lead and they both had mics on so they could talk, the lead giving the blind gal a heads up when needed.

Gotta go, gotta go. Wonderful. That's what we all need to feel I think. Full of energy and ready to get out and enjoy the world. Isn't that what we are all wanting. Thank you for the inspiration.
