Day 2 of a planned 2 days of ‘water’ fasting

Gained 2 pounds? Water fasting? Yeah, 'water retention' is real 😜

First day of the ‘water fast’ was a breeze. The secret:

1) Do not consume *any* calories
2) See #1

If I don’t eat I don’t get hungry. I did have “Land O'Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream” in my tea right before bed. This would normally trigger hunger, but, *I’m asleep* :) My main reason for consuming it is that it helps me sleep. When ‘water fasting’ it is REALLY hard to sleep. Even with massive doses of melatonin I can only get 4 hour of sleep at a time.

My shoulder is ‘sore AF’ from ‘lifting heavy’ on Sunday, but I am not in ‘pain’ (there is a huge difference). Otherwise, everything is good. Last week I tried to ‘water fast’ on Tuesday, but, I had to travel and ended up drinking that hot chocolate. Today is a normal work day and I will be ‘busy’ all day that that really helps the diet.

Tonight I will have a protein shake and then ‘no solid food’ fast for the rest of the week.

We can not always decide for our bodies, I was fasting yesterday too. but I broke my fast last night, it had a kind of liquid refeeding,except for the Peanuts and I lost one pound.

@Keilin_4 - Your work on your tummy is my biggest 'motivator' to fast at all. I desire to have the effects of autophagy. -- Yeah I am not worried about the weight gain. I KNOW it is 'water' because I drank a LOT of water and *very little* 'came out' :) What *is* important to me is that I was able to 'water fast' durring the day and not be 'miserable'. I know I can't do 'miserable/uncomfortable' long term. The next time I plan to eat solid food is Friday. If I don't hit my weight goal, I will just 'let it go' Haha! I will just 'do what I can do' and then just go 'oh well' :) Right now I am 'very thin'. My current 'weight goal' is about "Can I get ripped abs" not "Hey I need to lose weight to not be fat".

We have same goal, my fasting yesterday was not hard either, a little bit at McDonald's haha, but at night I was ok, even thinking to go sleep with empty stomach, and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner today and still make it a no more than 1600 calories day but I have to go to Popeyes this afternoon, and for all the food I want to eat there it will be 1000 calories only for dinner, so I decided to have a liquid dinner Last night and continue fasting today until 11-12 today. It's my second time I do the liquid dinner while fasting, and I feel great afterwards.

I know it’s just water retention but I would have been fuming!!! 🤬 LoL 🤣 So you made it through and now you are back at your comfort zone!
