This weekend i cheated a lil bit.. And also its that time in of the month.. I dont think its so much that i cheated a lil bit, i think that its more of having my period. I really dont think that i should be having splenda, atkins shake, and low carb pita bread. I think i should be waiting till i am closer to my goal. what do u guys think
207.4 lb Lost so far: 12.6 lb.    Still to go: 67.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

i feel like i'm starting to make excuses for wanting to eat stuff that isnt on the atkins diet. cause if u guys didnt know i've been cheating every weekend and i just cant seem to help it when good food is in front of me...Ahhhh

JoAnne - My honest opinion? No Cheating! That is the problem with Atkins - there is no forgiveness. If you cheat just a bit every week you may not lose any weight. If you must cheat save it for one meal a week or something. I'm sorry and I know how hard it is, but if you don't limit that stuff you will just maintain your weight and not lose. Just think of the payoff if you can not cheat! You lost 1 pound this month. If you don't cheat you could lose 10 this month. I don't know if you should have the low carb bread & stuff just yet. I think you need to do strict induction for at least a week then start slowly adding the low carb bread and spenda and see what it does. Good Luck! I know it is so hard sometimes!

I know it's hard. I CRAVE stuff i can't have, especially when they stack it so close to the till! All i can say is when i stick to it 100% i lose weight. When i don't, i don't! I've started a food journal and i'm writing EVERYTHING down. I have eaten way too much the last 3 days, all stuff i'm allowed (except the 3 glasses of wine tonight!), but way too many nuts (200 grams a day!)and cheese (300 grams a day). I'm going to up the ammount of lean meat i eat and cut back on the nuts and cheese a bit. I wish you so much good luck, i really want us all to do well. You've done well on this diet before, and you can do it again : )

amanda your so right.. and its hard hearing( seeing it).. i have so much weight to loose that i dont have a choice but to do the strict induction phase cause atleast i know that once i loose all my weight i can eat like i eat now and maintain my weight..cause i know that loosing the weight is what will make me happier with my body.. i have to do this... man this is really hard

We are here for ya and to support you, so dont give up if this is really what you want. I agree with the girls. You have to focus and try to deal with your mind and the cravings. The mind is such a strong thing to overcome, but you have to decide what is important to you. Think about your baby and the life you want to give him. 18 years from now you could end up on a path of High blood pressure, heart problems, or worse if you dont change your lifestyle. I'm only telling you this from things I'm experiencing myself right now.... Do it now while your young! You will have so much more energy to spend on your son. I'm sure he would tell you that he wants you to be around for years to come. If you cant find the strength to do it for yourself, think about him. We care about ya girlfriend and want to see you have great success! Dont give up. :)
