Miraculum's Journal, 07 March 2019

WHAT THE ...!!! I am totally disgusted with the scale. I've done nothing to deserve this regression to the mid 220s.

While Congress was distracted by nonsense, I introduced important legislation to eliminate "Thursday" from the calendar. It is, after all, "Thor's Day." Thor is a Norse god, a pagan deity. AAMOF, the whole darn calendar is full of pagan deities! I moved, seconded, and called for a voice vote.

I'm pleased to announce the passage by acclamation of the APDA (Anti-Pagan-Deity Act)! I celebrated with two frozen Starbucks brownies and a box (yes, three servings) of Kraft macaroni and cheese, which I have logged.

Today is a complete wash-out. Having induced a carbo-coma, I will not be eating for the rest of the day and will start again tomorrow.

I try to log everything as well. I ate off plan last Thursday (hmmm maybe you are on to something) LOL. But I have always loved Thor. Eating off plan now and then does not really effect me as long as I get back to it. It is actually part of my plan but goal is to remain fat adapted.

Aye, there's the rub! When you blow it, you don't have to KEEP blowing it for the remainder of the day!

How frustrating! Is there any way I can contribute to you getting back on plan? I love and accept you where ever you are at, but wish I could help since I know you would feel better. Sorry you are in a funk, and must be feeling bad.

u are on keto right? U have deprived and dehydrated ur body so much that when u eat some carbs ur body retains the water and u add ridiculous amounts of 💦 weight. Eat normal for 2-3 days and it will whoosh out

I am so glad I know someone in Congress that can get something done. That you passed any legislation, puts you far and above the others, and for such a good cause: the ADPA! Bravo. What good cause will you work on next?

This weight increase was not due to carb ingestion or dehydration, which is why it's so puzzling to me. My total carb consumption (prior to yesterday!) was averaging about 30-50g per day. In order to be in nutritional ketosis, because I'm a T2 diabetic and insulin-resistant, I need to consume less than 20g total carbs per day. I also drink a minimum of 10 8-oz. glasses of water *every* day, in addition to tea, coffee, and liquid in my food, no matter what.

@Snowwhite100, I'm glad to hear that ^someone* appreciates my legislative efforts! (My dog is terribly unimpressed!) For my next legislative push, I plan to focus on the *totally* unfair exclusion of refined carbohydrates from the LCHF/ketogenic WOE. Please harass your Representatives and Senators, by any means necessary, to get behind this critical health initiative!

What about that flounder dish you recorded. It looked to be like it had potential to knock you out of ketosis and then make you retain water which was what you read on the scale

Oh not carbs, than cico ... if it was overnight weight gain...it’s still water

Sodium or 💩could also be the reason

On keto we usually eat high sodium. I think one thing to think about is not to let the scale be the one to dictate what you eat. A random jump on the scale does happen and will happen and cannot always be explained. We will not be rewarded with a down number every day. The most important reward is that we are doing something healthy for out bodies.
