Day 3 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 110 mg/dL

For the last three weeks, even though I have been ‘no solid food fasting’ every week, I always gain a pound on Tuesday or Wednesday. This week is the same. The rest of the week I usually lose weight.

I have averaged 1500 calories a day for 4 days, yet I gained 4 pounds. Yes it is ‘water weight’, but I believe the ‘water’ is related to the level of glycogen in my skeletal muscles (∼500 g) and liver (∼100 g). The answer for me is to keep my carbs and protein low to minimize replenishing the supply.

@srossca -The 'water' is already starting to go... :) Annoying having to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes (sigh).

I will be drinking a protein shake tonight and I’m so sad it won’t be my old Quest cookies and creme 😭 I was almost done with it and then noticed a couple of weeks ago that it was expired!! Over 6 months!! Lol I don’t know how I didn’t die 🤣 I bought a new one but it sucks! I’m gong to add Splenda 😒
