Snowwhite100's Journal, 23 February 2019

I did not intend to eat so few calories Friday. Now that I am going on maintenance and my weight is down I sure need to watch my nutrition. Eating window 7 hours.

Our daughter and husband left today to go visit his dad and step-mother near San Diego, and stop on the way to visit for a half hour with my husbands sister that is dying of cancer. Our daughter figures this will most probably be the last time she will get to see her. Although his sister did go in a small nursing home a little over a week ago, that only lasted 2 nights. She hated it, and since they have money, her husband brought her home, and is paying for round the clock care. We will go again in 2 or 3 days.

Our daughter will be here more the next couple or few weeks. She had a root canal retreated for infection, which is ongoing. Also she fell a week ago and chipped 2 crowns and those may need work. She did have a blood test to see her cancer numbers and results will be soon.

Please may I tell you, since I need to tell somebody besides my husband: when she was packing her suitcase this morning, leaning over it, she had to sit down twice to rest, and she was panting like my sister who weight maybe 400 pounds. Our daughter weights in the 130's so that was no issue: she's weaker from the cancer and chemo. I know she said from the time of the diagnoses and chemo (2 years) she has not had the energy and strength as before, they were always very active. Yes, I know and expect that, but seeing her pant, and having to sit down and rest, I had to go in another room and cry.

May God comfort and heal your daughter! I had chemo, surgery and radiation for stage 3 BC about 2 years ago and I can relate. I still struggle with fatigue and weakness also but my blood work and scans have been clear.. Chemo can take years to recover from is what I’ve heard and what I’m experiencing.
