Day 2 of a planned 3 days of β€˜no solid food’ fasting
Blood sugar 104 mg/dL

It is 🌧 raining so I can’t πŸƒπŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ run. However, tonight I plan to go to the gym and πŸ‹πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ lift weights.

All my running this weekend did nothing for weight loss, but, the body is looking toned. Can’t wait to see what it looks like when I get back down to 165 pounds (10 pounds from now).

πŸ₯› I plan to drink as many Protein Shakes as I want to. This will slow weight loss, but I am not as motivated to be β€˜aggressive’ about weight loss when I am in the mid 170’s.

@Keilin_4, @liv001 - Thanks. I hope to get a drop tomorrow. Normally I would have done a run and would definitely get a drop, so now its only 50%...

I've done a liquid fast for 3 days a couple times and was surprised that it wasn't very difficult. I like to start at around 2pm and it doesn't feel like 3 full days. I usually try to do clear liquids - water, diet soda, hot tea, ice tea. But the last time I did it I made hot chocolate since I had a half gallon of milk I didn't want to go bad. Didn't hurt. Seems to work for you so it motivated me to try it several months ago.

@Fritzy 22 -When I first started fasting I was drinking McDonald's Milk Shakes! So you are wayyy better than I was! However, it allowed me to slowly get used to not eating all day long. Now, I am just used to it. However, my protein shakes still have high protein and that is just as bad as carbs :( But, it is STILL better than going on an 'eating binge'. That is what I would be on right now if I ate ANY of he Valentine's candy that is floating around the office...

Aww no dinner out? No chocolates? It’s too crowded on valentines anyway. Hope you guys got to spend some quality time together though. Good move on the flower delivery πŸ‘πŸ˜

@CrashtestDawnie - I am lucky @PrincessValerie is so understanding that her husband really needs to *not eat* when doing a 'no solid food fast' :) So, the "Valentine's Day" dinner will be this weekend β€πŸ˜‰
