Ok so I keep looking at your picture and I can’t for the life of me find 280#. That’s about what hubby weighs so I know where to look lol. It’s in your shoes isn’t it? 🤪 I swear men who work out must have legs that weigh 80-100# each!

maybe. I dropped from 285 to 280 last week. I still look fat in the belly to myself, but I tried on a pair of 38 jeans tonight that fit. tightly lol. the smallest my waist has been in my adult life was a 34, when I weighed 195# and had a six pack. I was wearing a 44 at 328# back in November. some guys are just heavy no matter what.

I'm often baffled by guys with bellies sticking out farther than mine who weight 50-70 Pounds less than me lol

Yeah peeper, it's mostly in mid section and chest. I was 285 or more on this picture like a month ago. I've never got below 258 since high school. I'm just very large build, 8.5" wrists, over 11" ankles..

Hubbys is mid section and butt lol. The charts say 185 for him yet I’ve seen pictures at 225 and his cheeks and eyes are sunk in and he looked sick. He was wearing a jacket so I couldn’t tell on the rest of him and he was around 18-19 at the time, highly athletic and ran several miles a day. I’ve never measured his wrists and ankles but he measured his thigh one time and it was bigger than my waist. Used to frustrate me to no end that I couldn’t pinch even 1cm of fat anywhere on his legs yet I had plenty and walked way more for work lol. He’s kept that muscle but has a little cushion over it now. Some people are just really large framed or muscular. It wouldn’t be healthy to be the weight those charts and drs tell them to be.

that's about the right of it peeperjj I had a doctor once tell me that I was obese at 192 pounds -- I had a six-pack and a second set of shoulders at the time and had gone to the doctor over an injury I sustained whilst doing my 580th sit up for the day.

Yeah there's no way I can be sub 225...that's why my goal is 250 but not sure that can happen.. I'm using a real tough time losing anything the last month anyway.

lol, sub 225 is possible, but you'll start getting those "you look sickly" comments! I figure 250 is a good goal -- if you're in 38s at 280, 250 should have you in 34-36s, which is probably about as small around the waist as you can get. I don't know about you man, but I'd rather be 240-250 and insanely strong than 180 and weak.

Last year I did a bodpod and dexa scan, which both had me at 190lbs lbm. I lifted more in the last year since probably 2013. Wishful thinking has me around 200lbm, as my shoulders and legs etc are bigger than last year. 225 would put me at sub 10% bf 😮

I'm going to do them both again in next couple months for comparison.
