219.8 lbs. It's been a good week, stuck to plan and got in a lot of activity/exercise. I'd like the weight to come off more quickly but also know that gradual loss is healthier and will help keep as much muscle mass as possible. Patience grasshopper! Have a great weekend.

Slow and steady is a winning formula.

Slow and steady is the best. I lost 100 pounds in 1996 and kept it off for 20 years without even thinking about it. I guess while dieting I got in a habit of eating differently and it just stuck. It wasn't till I retired and had relatives live with me that I started gaining. Not so great food I hadn't eaten in years was now in my house. I was cooking differently for them and before you knew it, I was back to eating tons of pasta, ice cream, chips, pizza, nachos, etc.. I was very aware of what I was eating but blew it off thinking I would MAYBE have to diet when they moved out. But after they moved out, I continued to eat that way. So here I am.

Changing how you eat is easier the more slowly you make the changes, it's the being patient with the slow but unstoppable progress that is the hard part.

I like what conicassity said. Eliminate one thing at a time that you know causes weight gain. I am working on that myself. Well, done on the loss, Jim!
