Day 2 of a planned 2 days of ‘water fasting’
Blood sugar 102 mg/dL

Yesterday was an easy fast 👍🏾

I ate nothing and experienced no hunger. I made sure I started the day off with a fistful of vitamins and a healthy dose of electrolyte concentrate.

It is still raining in Los Angeles so I wasn’t able to run. This is why I think I only lost 1 pound rather than the usual 2-3. We will continue to have 🌧 rain so I won’t get a chance to run until later in the week. However, I will probably get less of a ‘bounce back’ when I do start eating on the weekend.

Tonight I break the 'water fast' with a 🥛 Protein Shake. I will drink Protein shakes (3 carbs 300 calories each) until Friday evening.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Life is good, I completely agree.😊 You had a good fast. Sorry it's still raining. Should stop soon?

Sorry about the constant rain - we are in the same boat here. I know you are insulin resistant so I worry about your use of sucralose when it can cause that - I know you like it (or more likely you are addicted to it) but it may be making things harder for your body to work well. Insulin resistant hunger can also contribute to you not being able to stop eating once you eat anything. Sucralose may also cause other health issues. Maybe a mini-challenge for you could be to reduce the amount you use in each shake a little bit each week - your body may really thank you and it would be cool if it helped with your inability to stop eating - just a thought because I really do worry :)

Wow, i can't believe how much rain you are having! I literally thought it never rained there. Maybe on the movie sets... Good job on the fasting! If i take vitamins on empty stomach i puke. Had to train myself to take them after omad.

@nikeit - Aww thank you for caring! I agree with you that my addiction to Splenda is probably hurting me health-wise, but, the 'minor hit' I get from Granulated Splenda (that let's admit it, contains SUGAR/CARBS) gets me through the day :) Yes I really could wean myself off it, but, what 'reward' would I have to look forward to during the day? So, I think I will hold onto my cups of decaf Green Tea with (massive amounts of) Splenda :)

@Becc@, @jengetfit123 - Right now the rain has stopped and the sun it out, but, too late for me to do my run before work Haha. Crossing my fingers for tomorrow morning :)

Grrr I'm at a conference so I got a (free) coffee with just one small packet of cream. Now, 30 minutes later, I have the feelings of 'hunger' (yes, it will pass)...
