Toni Bourlon's Journal, 24 January 2019

Well, almost back down to where I was last week. Still hoping to get below 151 lbs by the weekend. Has anyone ever tried Home Chef? I've been buying their meal kits since before Christmas, not every week but pretty often. This is what I had for dinner last night: pork chop w/red wine demi-glaze sauce, roasted acorn squash & sautéed chard. Really tasty! I order meals for 2 since it's just me and the hubby, and often there's enough leftovers for a third meal. Not last night, though, haha! They do have some lower-calorie options, which are mostly lean meat & heavy on the veggies, like last night's dinner. I spend $55 - $60 for three meal kits. Might be a bit pricey but everything you need is in the box, which is helpful. And I can usually get supper cooked in under an hour, including prep time. I admit, I could probably do better at the grocery store with some meal planning, which I'm still working on. But it's still cheaper than eating out, and probably lower calorie, too!
