Bigguy123, when I first started Keto, I just stayed with the amount of fat/protein that was recommended(close to it). I wasn't losing as fast as I though I should. Then I heard a workout guru say that ANY sugar substitute is bad. So I stopped easing the sugar subs. I started dropping a little faster. THEN, I had an epiphany. You probably already know this, but you HAVE to eat FAT. I started making the MAJORITY of my meals, snacks, etc. FAT. THEN I really started losing the weight. I would suggest loading up on the fats, and eat a minimum of protein. Your body will eat WHATEVER you give it. If you give it MOSTLY fat, and then eat less than you need, your body will eat the fat FROM YOU. If you eat too much protein(which I did, for a while), then your body will eat the PROTEIN off you. That is bad, because that is MUSCLE. We don't want to lose muscle, but fat. So eat mostly fat, but LESS than you want. In a few minutes, you should feel full. Then, watch the pounds drop. Hey, good luck. If you want, I'll say a prayer for you.

And, ensure you do some type of something for exercise... when I first started (near 400 lbs), I could barely walk a block (where I was told to park, to my downtown office)... start small, stay safe, see success!

From 371 is absolutely correct. He has the experience and did it slowly. Not a race...
