This is what I like to see! As soon as I change my eating habits, my weight begins to turn around and my blood sugar falls back into near-normal range with much less diabetes medication. (I take Humalog, Levemir, and Victoza.) Progress on LCHF/keto eating, honestly attempted, really encourages compliance. Of all the diet plans I've ever tried, this one works every time.
243.0 lb Lost so far: 42.0 lb.    Still to go: 75.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

It really does work. It's just really hard sometimes to make the right choices for what to eat. I find myself eating the same thing everyday...because I know for sure that it fits the plan without having to calculate too much. But, that can be boring. My daughter gave me a KETO cook-book for Christmas. I plan to study it this weekend and see if I can mix it up a bit. Good for you getting your numbers back in line.

To145: As, they say, "All diets work!" For me, LCHF works best of all. True "keto" is defined by some as 10% or fewer calories of the day's total from carbohydrate, or no more than 20g carbohydrate (and some say no more than 20g NET carbohydrate) per day. In general, I have a very difficult time staying under 20g (gross or net), but I do very well at less than 60g of carbohydrate per day. And that does the trick for me and, of course, the lower I can go, the better. I hope you're doing well!
