Yippee - another big loss again today! If I can maintain this weight until Monday's official weigh-in, I'll be able to cash in my next 1/2 stone reward!! The swelling has gone down even more today, so I guess it's partially due to that - I just hope this isn't some kind of post-surgery fluke, are my muscles wasting away already?? Or maybe those bags were bigger than I'd realised, LOL!

Yesterday was tough - the first day on my own since the surgery, and a low calorie day to boot - less than 1,200 cals, youch. However, I did get through it, by spending lots of time on Fatsecret, carefully rationing out my meals, drinks and snacks over the day, and by drinking gallons of water!

I'm really missing exercising. Do you know, I even sat and flicked through an exercise DVD yesterday! It was a new rental that had just arrived, so there is some excuse, but I did chuckle to myself at how times had changed, in that I was actually watching Davina McCall doing lunges and wishing that I could be joining in!

Well, the stitches are coming out this afternoon, thank goodness. My eyes are itching like mad at the moment! Hope it's not too painful - I've heard this can be the worst bit. I've had no pain at all so far, and I'm quite happy to keep it that way if possible. I'll be pre-arming myself with a couple of painkillers, just in case!

Happy Wednesday from a lovely, sunny Southampton!

Yay! for the big loss! I am sure it isn't a fluke. You are reeling in the calories to reflect your lower activity so it is a well deserved loss! Glad to hear things are continuing to go well with your healing, save for the ordeal of having your stitches removed. Ouch. Good idea to arm yourself with pain meds ahead of time!

Congrats on the loss! Good job! Did you ever think that you would say that you MISS exercise? Once we get used to exercise and then can't do it we realize how good it is for us. Good luck on getting those stitches out! Hope you feel no pain! :)

Wow! 145! You have passed me up now! Sorry to hear of your itchy eyes. That sounds pretty miserable. Hope your healing will be quick and you can get back to feeling great and exercising soon!

Thanks everyone! The stitches removal was a little eye-watering, but not too bad. Sharon - I didn't think I was quite ready for a sunglasses-free shot just yet, but wanted to get rid of that old baggy-eyed version of me! Yes, I am still doing Slim Fast - you obviously checked out a couple of my recent naughty cheat days!! It just seems to work for me, although I know lots of people couldn't even comprehend doing it. I think it helps mixing up the meal replacements, so I tend to rotate between the shakes, meal bars and the yummy new cereal for breakfast and between the soup and meal bars for lunch. :)

I'm sure the mega-losses are a result of zig-zagging low calories and not muscles wasting away already. But just keep an eye on things as you don't want to lose muscle. ;o) Aw, I did smile reading that you were missing exercise... isn't it funny how we change, but won't be long and you can be back to it with a vengeance! Hope the stitches coming out wasn't too bad.
