Day 2 of a planned 2 day ‘no solid food’ fast
Blood sugar 86 mg/dL

27 pushups (2019 PUSH UP Challenge!)

Nice to see the scale moving in the right direction :)

I plan to concentrate on weight loss until Christmas. I will still go to the 🏋🏾 gym 3 days a week, but, I am willing to de-load on the weight I am lifting if I need to. I plan to do a lot of 🏃🏾 running, at least every other day.

I am blessed to have 'fasting' to control my weight. I have done several types of fasting:

🌟 "Dry Fasting" is no food or water. I have only done this for a day. This will 'clear your mind' and make you 'focused'.

🌟 "Water Fasting" is just water, you can do this longer. I have done it up to 3 days. This will 'clean you out'. It takes 2-3 days, but, it will physically 'reset' you. I like to do a lot of jogging when water fasting. This increases the 'cleanse' and is like nothing else. I MUST take electrolyte supplements while doing this (just salt wont cut it), and you will still get dehydrated (after day 3 my body will not hold onto water so I have to drink a lot of it and go to the bathroom a lot).

🌟 These days I just do 'no solid food fasts'. I take in 900+ calories in protein drinks. This is very easy mentally and, now my body is used to it, physically I feel 'full'. Weight loss is about the same (yesterday I dropped two pounds) and you can keep it up forever.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Another day, another additional push up - WTG!! Just out of curiosity, how do you make sure you get the vitamins and minerals you need when all you drink is protein powder and cream? That would be my main concern with only eating a couple food items for days on end. Great drop already on that scale - how are the weight levels doing? Another curiosity, why are you willing to go backward on the weight levels - I thought that was important in your plan. So many questions :) I'm just trying to keep up!

Hmmm...I may have to do the "no solid food" plan if I cannot hot my target weight for surgery...thanks for the tip!

@HCB - Good luck! After months of doing this I can say it is simply a 'strategy'. When I start eating I 'binge'. When I drink protein shakes, I can only 'binge' so much. I can just 'stop'. Unlike a 'water only' fast, this takes a LOT less 'effort' because a protein shake in heavy cream is REALLY filling. At the end of the day I am under 20 carbs and usually under 1000 calories. If I also run for an hour that day I will drop 1-2 pounds. Rinse and repeat.

@nikeit - I take a ton of vitamins every morning in addition to my electrolyte concentrate. Because, yeah your body needs more than protein and fat :) However, it is the electrolyte concentrate that provides what my body MUST have other than water. My 'bulking' went really well. But, not getting fat again is WAY more important than bulking up to me.

beef and fat works well, adding beef liver for all your vitamins works great too. it is amazing how much is packed into beef liver! You are doing great with that quick water drop
