Caregiver came last night to stay with Mom so I was able to go dance & made significant drop! Mom very fragile. We have entered probably most difficult phase from what others tell us. Through it all Mom & I were singing last night. When she walks to bathroom with walker, her arm is in so much pain that I stand behind her supporting her back so we look like we’re pair skating or dancing... so we both started singing like Fred Astaire & Judy Garland from Easter Parade “We’re a couple of swells. We dine at the best hotels!” My son caught a glimpse & was laughing at us. Last night I told her I would have liked the opportunity to care for both Mom & Dad, we lost him over 30 yrs ago. I just consider them a twosome even when she’s alone. She said she never even considered dating again cuz how do you top him? And then I told her that she was my favorite woman when I was tucking her in bed. Though this time is stressful I guess I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for listening FS.
