Traveling Day

I have to spend 9 hours in the car :(

I plan to take packages of beef jerky and Quest Cookies and eat only that stuff, nothing else. No Mc Donald's on the way!

Yesterday, because it was an eating day, I allowed myself to have some of the cookies at an afternoon meeting. This set of a carb binge and I ended the day at 100+ carbs (and 2k+ calories). A one pound gain isn't bad considering...

You could also cut some veggie sticks and put them in an insulated lunch bag with a bit of ice or even cold water

Hi My job calls for quite a bit of travel. Ex: this Monday I will be faced with a 6-7 hour drive. To ensure I eat right and manage calories, I pack Flatbread (90-100cal) Almond butter Apple Celery Carrots And as you Jerky Of course oodles amounts of liquid Be safe on the road

Thanks everyone. Made it to Las Vegas in 5 hours. I will speak in three hours and then back on the road... so that is why there is no toothbrush! I ate half the food I already logged for the day. You can see I added some Quest chips and "Just The Cheese" snacks. I removed a package of jerky. I ate half of what I logged so I still have half for the way back. Now that I am here, they have lunch (pizza, cookies, chips), and I am having NONE of it! :) :)

I do this too ;). With the kids I can’t do it because we must stop. However if not over meals then I can have these and send my oldest in for junk for the kids. Win win in that case ;).
