Day 1 of a planned 2 day OMAD 'One Meal A Day'

Blood sugar 90 mg/dL

๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ I was so good yesterday, no 300 calorie morning 'protein coffee' just a 5 hour energy drink, a 3 mile run, and Green Tea all day. I got home and jumped on the scale and was down 2 pounds! I was not hungry (when fasting I am never hungry unless I eat), but we had ๐Ÿ•Pizza planned...

๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ Did I keep my net carbs below 10? No
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ Did I keep my protein below 90g? No
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ Is my morning blood sugar in the 70s? No

The Quest low carb Pizza was not bad. However, it has a LOT of fiber in it and it makes you very full. It is a small pizza but rather than each having our own we could have split a single one.

But, it still caused a 'carb binge' in me and I ended up drinking a protein shake and finished off the night with Frosted Cheerios! Hello 90 mg/dL 'fasted' morning blood glucose reading!

So, yeah I am thankful for the one pound loss, but I know I basically sabotaged what really was a 3 pound drop...

Anyway, I know I 'complain' a lot (this is my 'Journal' that is what it is for), but I wanted to post a photo from yesterday to show that my WOE (Way Of Eating) is really working and I am actually very happy :)
168.0 lb Lost so far: 39.0 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Looking great Adef!!!! Sorry you only lost 1 pound but at least you got that pesky pizza craving out of the way :) I know you will get back to it today and will do great!!

so how many carbs was the pizza that you ate total that set off the carb cravings?? above 10?? Sorry you hit the cereal but you will have some extra energy to do your workout. Hope today is a better day for you.

@baskington - The pizza had 24 carbs but 18g of fiber for 6 net carbs per serving. But, it set off a 'carb binge' in me. It didn't get too out of control, but I feel I took a hit. Pizza is 'our thing' so this is not a 'logical' thing we are doing here :)

Aww man not the cereal again ๐Ÿ˜ช I just donโ€™t understand lol Sucks that the pizza set you off. That is a lot of carbs. Have you tried using lavish bread or low carb tortillas? Theyโ€™re not bad. I prefer to burn a lill bit of cheese in a pan and then add more cheese and toppings. Itโ€™s a great substitute

@CrashtestDawnie - Yeah I shouldn't even have the cereal in the house but if I removed it I might turn to something worse. We tried both lavish bread and low carb tortillas. Just-wasn't-the-same. This one, the crust, feels and tastes like normal Pizza.
