Day 5 of a planned 5 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 84 mg/dL

πŸ‘ΆπŸΎ Not surprised the scale went up a bit...

πŸ‘ŽπŸΎ Did I keep my net carbs below 10? No
πŸ‘ŽπŸΎ Did I keep my protein below 90g? No
πŸ‘ŽπŸΎ Is my morning blood sugar in the 70s? No

🌊 Yeah yeah this is probably water weight because my two cups of miso soup yesterday was unusually salty (because I added 6,000mg of sodium from the Soy Sauce I added), and that doesn't help either, but as much as it annoys me to have to track macros, apparently they matter for me.

πŸ§˜πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ I'm fasting and I am looking for maximum weight loss. If I wanted to lose weight slowly I could just eat :) Ok, actually that wouldn't work for me. Trying to eat everyday and lose weight did-not-work-for-me. When I start to eat I can't control myself. I don't need to get my 'brain fixed', I need to just have "acceptance". Fasting works for me. I wish someone showed this to me years ago.

πŸƒπŸΎ This morning I am going for a run. No morning πŸ₯› protein coffee for me (because I never really 'need' it), just a 5 hour energy drink to get my caffine.

πŸ• Tonight I am going to break the fast with a low carb Quest Pizza This is our first time trying it out so I will let you know how we like it :)

sorry you are struggling, good luck on the carbs tonight. double check the serving size for the 6 carbs you many find eating more than one piece takes you up a bit more to your no lose level

@baskington - Yes I may take a hit on this one :( I took out ALL my Protein shakes for the day! That hurt because normally I have a Vanilla Protein Shake EVERY night. However, @PrincessValerie will not be denied and she wants her 'own' pizza (because these things are -small-). Yeah I could just eat half and save the rest... but, who are we kidding? Haha! So, I tried working it out in the Fat Secret calculator for nearly 5 minutes, and came to the conclusion that the only way this is going to work is to ONLY have this pizza tonight :)

On your target goals, you can add sodium as a micro you can track as well πŸ‘

yep that seems to be the magic number for you to hit a wall. so it is a non fasting day?? I make my husband different meals then I have all the time, sometimes I share if it fits my plan and sometimes I just eat my steak.

@Baskington stop saying steak! You are such steak tease. I will get a nice fat juicy one tonight on my way home and put it in the air fryer for 12 minutes. @Adefwebserver - Please let us know how it tastes after you crush it!

@baskington - Normally my fast is Sunday night to Friday night, that is how I calculate '5 days of no solid food'... even though I AM eating solid food on that final day :) My latest theory is that to lost weight fast I need to keep my net carbs below 10 (not gonna happen today) and my protein under 90 (because my body will 'burn it first' rather than stored fat). So far this theory is holding. Wont get a chance to 'test it' today because I will violate it with my pizza, but NEXT WEEK we will see... :)

@chrisw77 - Normally my sodium is way lower than the daily recommended 2,300mg(my electrolyte concentrate only has 125mg a serving and the protein powder only has 150mg a serving). But, the Soy Sauce I put in the miso soup is 920mg a serving and I put-a-lot-in :) I am blaming the miso soup when it is really sucking down 6,000mg+ of sodium from the soy sauce that is the culprit. Rather than tracking it, I will just eliminate it :)

Well Ches if you got it eat it! I am getting great deals at Sam's club and if I had a big freezer I could get T bones at farm price. 5 T bone rolls for $6.38 a pound. Buying half a cow to get that kind of price and then I have to take other cuts. If this all works out for me I may consider investing in a freezer.

i am so tired of being so tired... bought that SuperBeets, has anyone tried it? Thoughts? I have seen zero difference in my energy level. however by the end of the week bm are discolored and loose

@srossca - when I am not 'cutting' I eat IF. The problem is I keep 'going on vacation' and gaining 10lbs. I have been 'cutting' for two months now...
