CJT1217's Journal, 21 August 2012

Booyaw!! Eating right and sweating sure does do the trick! Duh! But what really brings it all together is that desire and determination to see those changes. Oh man, did I want to stop running up those hills yesterday... I wanted to plop down and watch some netflix and didn't want to throw around some metal dumbbells, pump out pushups, do leg raises and weighted situps but I knew I needed to... I sure did want to chow down on some good eats last night and even have some more See's Candies nuts and chews from the breakroom this morning.... but, mind over matter!

When presented with temptation, I ask myself "how bad do you want it?? How badly do you want to meet your goal?" And, well, sometimes I give in, but at times like this when I'm focussed and in the zone, I say "I want it BAD." I then grin and scamper off having won a small victory.

Here's to 100%... Keep on rollin, baby! You know what time it is!

I'll join the "Hallelujah!" chorus on this one, brother! That is the secret, isn't it? How badly do you want it. Is it worth that momentary pleasure, or is it worth that momentary push or sacrifice. Sometimes giving ourselves a break is important, but too many breaks, and we break our resolve. Your resolve is a source of inspiration. Thanks!

OOhh nacho cheese doritos... my kryptonite! I've been known to chew it up and spit it out. Haha, ya ya ya, gross I know, but at least it fulfils my addiction without any guilt ;)

haha @ chew and spit... there is no denying that i feel 100 times better after a work out then if i just decide to be lazy.. i feel guilt like man.. it really was only 30 mins or so... now that i have a HRM i find myself more motivated to see what i can burn!

I LOVED See's Nut and Chews!!! Notice I said LOVED in the past tense. Although I was pretty good at rationing them when had some last year - two pieces per day and I was not even on a diet then! But now...no thank-you.

Nice entry! I find more motivation to eat right after exercise, visualizing how much effort it takes to burn the wrong foods.
