Day 1 of a planned 5 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 123 mg/dL

I had a blowout birthday weekend in in New York that got 'out of control' eating-wise, and then got 'extra out of control' due to a delayed flight. They took us off the plane and proceeded to feed us free carbs (chips, soda, ham sandwiches, cookies, pretzels). This went on for hours.

Anyway, had a great time and the fast re-starts today. I'm only going to do 5 day fasts for the next few weeks (until I get down to 165lbs) because I was getting bored on my last 11 day fast and it didn't move the scale much past the 5th day and that sucked a lot of the motivation out of it.

My 123 morning blood sugar reading is alarming! Now, I really did 'have-that-many-carbs' yesterday, but still, that is Type-2 diabetes range. Even if I do have T2 I would still stick to my normal diet, low carb and fasting. However, a morning reading like this just shows me that if I thought I could eat carbs like 'normal' people I would be slowing killing myself...

@Keilin_4 - The thing that makes me feel good is that I logged my food every day (to the best of my ability). I feel I have documented what will definitely make me gain 10lbs in a 4 day period. This is really valuable information for me.

Yes ๐Ÿ˜€, I have to admit that I am impatient too , but this not just a weight loss , this is our new lifestyle. So I am giving myself until December to lose my 5 pounds. It's harder to lose the last pounds ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿคฏ

I like to do that too, I find it really helpful my week off I didn't logged just half of one day ,and this weekend because I have been feeling weird. But I am back on track today, and since today I am going to start recording only my drops ๐Ÿ˜ถ

@Keilin_4 - Good plan. It's my food I need to log everyday. My weight, I could log only weekly and my 'stats' would still be ok. But, when fasting, daily drops are fun :)

Great Birthday Weekend Baby! You know half of those pounds will drop off before the end of the week so don't worry about it. I on the other hand will be skipping weigh in until next Monday and today is start from scratch day and back to Keto!

I'm so glad you had such a great birthday! It looked like you were having a super time and the food looked so good. I know you are happy to be back fasting - I am happy you are cutting it back to 5 days - I don't want you to push it too far. I know you'll have that BS back under control in no time!

@nikeit - Yeah we had a great time, and until the last 24 hours of binge eating crappy food provided by American Airlines, I was actually 'eating well' (just high carb). We are off to the gym now. I want to see if I can at least get my squats up to 160lbs with this ton of glycogen in my system...

I see you took it as personal challenge to out gain me ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Lol Youโ€™ll probably by down 5#s by tomorrow ๐Ÿ‘ Iโ€™ve gotten really bored with logging and I think Iโ€™m at the point where I donโ€™t really need to. I just have to make sure i get enough protein. Once I get closer to goal, Iโ€™ll have to start counting everything again though Iโ€™m sure

@CrashtestDawnie - Go big or go home :) Haha - - If I stuck to a diet that was working I would not need to log daily, but I keep 'mixing it up' with high protein and heavy cream and changes like that. Also, my 'bulk' periods and my One Meal A Day periods on the weekends have to be tracked to figure out what causes problems and what seems to work :) I now clearly know what-will-make-me-gain-10lbs! Unless I want to be fat again, I need to simply not-do-what-I-just-did :) :)
