(sigh)

Three day vacations are the worst for me. I ALWAYS gain a lot of weight. Rather than try to fight it, I just accept it and get back on the diet plan as soon as I can.

Today we are going to the LA County Fair. This thing is massive. There will be a lot of walking, but also a lot of food. Today will NOT be a diet day.

The good news is that I still went to the gym yesterday and was able to lift more than I did the previous visit. Not surprising because I was not fasted.

The fast restarts tomorrow. I decided I will go all the way to Saturday so I get a full 5 days. The fast will re-start that Monday so I will only have one full day of eating so I wont have a big weight 'bounce back up' that I am experiencing now with 'multiple days' of eating. After that, the cut should be complete and I can return to OMAD (One Meal A Day).

Have a great holiday everyone!

I thought your intent was to bulk up for your weight lifting?? Is not gaining weight the intent?? I thought it was bulk, lift, fast.

@baskington - I am suppose to be in a 'cut' down to 160lbs :) I was doing sooo well until this three day holiday popped up Hahah When I did the big analysis of my numbers recently I noticed that I do the most 'damage' when I have 2+ day period of being 'off my diet'. But, I am not worried now that I decided to fast Tuesday-Saturday rather than Tuesday-Friday like I had originally planned. I have NEVER not had a 5+ pound loss when doing a 5 day fast. However, I have had only a 2 pound loss when doing less than 5 days.

Enjoy the fair and forget about any diet crap for one day - do not even think about it! You have more than earned a day of fun and food and you are walking - I know you will be back at it tomorrow!!!!

@chrisw77, @nikeit, @rosio19 - Thanks for the support! Don't worry I WILL have fun at the fair :) However, I do not think I will have the "Funnel Cake" as I planned (for those who don't know, it is a 'pastry' full of sugar, with powdered sugar on top, then liquid sugar drizzled on top of it). 10 years ago, when I had it a the same fair, and I was nearly 100lbs heavier, I had my first case of temporary blindness that I believe was "Diabetic Retinopathy". It happened a few times after that. This motivated me to lose 20 pounds at the time. So I had it 'in my head' that now I could safely eat the stuff again. I think I'm gonna pass. The fair will still be fun without the "Funnel Cake"...

Fair foods are so good! I use to get a big corn dog or an elephant ear! Enjoy your time and then get right back on that fasting wagon 👍 you got this!

Chris!! No! The princess can’t have the cake either! You eat it and share with us how good it was!! 😜

@chrisw77, @CrashtestDawnie - We both got through by having two bottles of water ($4 each!) and 4 small ribs each. Spent nearly $200 in the exhibit halls on stuff we didn't realize we needed and walked 8k steps :)

😧 wow water was nearly as expensive as food??!! Glad you guys had fun!

@CrashtestDawnie - They actually had a water fountain, but I was concerned that it was not 'clean' and was afraid of 'catching something'. But, yeah I thought @CrashTestDawnie would never have paid $8 for two bottles of water! :)
