(sigh)

Three day vacations are the worst for me. I ALWAYS gain a lot of weight. Rather than try to fight it, I just accept it and get back on the diet plan as soon as I can.

Today we are going to the LA County Fair. This thing is massive. There will be a lot of walking, but also a lot of food. Today will NOT be a diet day.

The good news is that I still went to the gym yesterday and was able to lift more than I did the previous visit. Not surprising because I was not fasted.

The fast restarts tomorrow. I decided I will go all the way to Saturday so I get a full 5 days. The fast will re-start that Monday so I will only have one full day of eating so I wont have a big weight 'bounce back up' that I am experiencing now with 'multiple days' of eating. After that, the cut should be complete and I can return to OMAD (One Meal A Day).

Have a great holiday everyone!

I thought your intent was to bulk up for your weight lifting?? Is not gaining weight the intent?? I thought it was bulk, lift, fast.

@baskington - I am suppose to be in a 'cut' down to 160lbs :) I was doing sooo well until this three day holiday popped up Hahah When I did the big analysis of my numbers recently I noticed that I do the most 'damage' when I have 2+ day period of being 'off my diet'. But, I am not worried now that I decided to fast Tuesday-Saturday rather than Tuesday-Friday like I had originally planned. I have NEVER not had a 5+ pound loss when doing a 5 day fast. However, I have had only a 2 pound loss when doing less than 5 days.

Oh stop, man... πŸ˜•. Just go a blast at the fair! Eat big! Relax! Have tons of fun! All the walking will offset some of the food and, if you just do as you say with the fasting, you'll drop by the weekend without an issue. 😊

Besides, even if you lose 4# instead of 6#, would the difference be great enough to say it wasn't worth going to the fair to have fun?? ENJOY IT!!!!! 😁

Enjoy the fair and forget about any diet crap for one day - do not even think about it! You have more than earned a day of fun and food and you are walking - I know you will be back at it tomorrow!!!!

@chrisw77, @nikeit, @rosio19 - Thanks for the support! Don't worry I WILL have fun at the fair :) However, I do not think I will have the "Funnel Cake" as I planned (for those who don't know, it is a 'pastry' full of sugar, with powdered sugar on top, then liquid sugar drizzled on top of it). 10 years ago, when I had it a the same fair, and I was nearly 100lbs heavier, I had my first case of temporary blindness that I believe was "Diabetic Retinopathy". It happened a few times after that. This motivated me to lose 20 pounds at the time. So I had it 'in my head' that now I could safely eat the stuff again. I think I'm gonna pass. The fair will still be fun without the "Funnel Cake"...

I did the same thing for years up here. Called it 'indulge then adjust.' I'm avoiding sugar now for other health reasons but I was able to pull it off for many years.

Give the Princess the cake and just eat the strawberries off the top! Besides, that'll leave room for the deep fried butter, Oreos, and Twinkies! Not to mention the chili/mayo corn! Oh man! I'm so going to the fair on Wednesday... I think I'm gonna crash FS with my carb overload!! I'm so looking forward to it!! It's gonna turn my 3000 calorie day into a 5k day easily! 😁😁😁😁😁

Fair foods are so good! I use to get a big corn dog or an elephant ear! Enjoy your time and then get right back on that fasting wagon πŸ‘ you got this!
