Klynn82's Journal, 25 August 2018

Hey everyone!! Sorry it's been so long! Things are going really good. I am eating what I am supposed to, losing weight, and I am so happy!!

We went to the fair last night, one 11,000 steps logged. We walked and walked!! Then today we went to the mall, I got some new shirts, a jacket, two new bras and some panties. It was so amazing to be able to go into a store and try on clothes that fit!! I didnt have to worry that my size might not be there or that nothing will fit. I felt amazing, I felt beautiful and happy. I know I still have a long way to go, but this new body is amazing to me. I have worked hard, been dedicated and fought through days of cravings or wanting to be like everyone else and I am so glad I fought so hard. I am taking back my life, and it feels so good.

On another note, I am going to have to find a way to get a new car. Mine just isn't doing well and at this point, it would cost more to fix than it is worth. I am praying for a breakthrough in that area. I know it will come, but it's hard to wait and worry. I love my car, and I wish that mechanics were just a little more reasonable. I know it's a hard job, and it takes years to learn it all, so I understand, but for those of us who struggle and have to have a car...its so hard.

Today I will pray for all of us who are walking this path. Be it to gain or lose, I pray that our bodies get healthy, our lifestyles change and we can all maintain the healthy weight we are working for. I pray that the Lord touches each and every life with blessings and healing. I pray for the hurt, the lost, the people who need comfort. I pray all this in Jesus holy name, Amen!!

Dont give up, dont feel like you have failed, dont let life beat you down...you can do this. I believe in you!! Be kind, be strong, be courageous. I love you all!!!

I recently bought a car - it was 400 for a broker but I got a 2014 for less than 1000. The auction site I used with the broker is this one. Hope this helps. Btw I chose to mark off the hail damage ones - I only had to replace a back windshield. https://www.copart.com/saleListResult/118/2018-08-29?location=CO%20-%20Colorado%20Springs&saleDate=1535565600000&liveAuction=false&from=%2FsalesListResult&yardNum=118

We follow and do Dave Ramsey Finanical Peace.. We have no car loans for 11 years and I always fix them, the rule of the thumb if spend suppose 1-2k years repairing car its still cheaper than having a car loan. It depends what is your car problems is too! Most of the time I am able to fix my cars myself instead of shop since they can overcharge big time. Dave Ramsey plan does work and it has turned our life around. I happened to read your post and I could give you ideas what to do with your car repairs in Jesus name AMEN...

Klynn, you are doing an incredible job with your weight loss and self esteem !! So very proud and happy for you. Your family and co-workers must be happy for you too. I/we actually have a classic Mercury with a rebuilt V8 engine that I, personally, would love to get rid of. Taking up space in the garage but it is a gas guzzler & I wouldn’t know how we could get it to you 😕

Thank you everyone!!! Your support means so much to me!! I am humbled by all of your love towards me!! @HighlandHeather, maybe we could form a fatsecret chain and I send you some money and you drive the car a little ways, then another member drives it, then another until it gets from you, to me!! Haha

@rmkmorin, I have seen the Dave Ramsey books and thought about starting his plan but I just dont know where to begin. As for my car, it's just old, it has 238k miles on it. I just cant afford a new one. There is a coolant leak up by the heater core, the oil pressure drops when I'm sitting at a stop light, my interior lights fade out and turn off at times, my horn doesnt work...the list goes on. It's just an old car. I love it, it's a 2006 Z71 Tahoe, but I cant afford repairs right now. If you lived close, I would happily let you come show me what to do to fix it. I'd love to keep it, but it's a money pit.

You're doing great! Praying for your car situation. I encourage you to take up @rmkmorin on their offer of tips following Dave Ramsey's program. It's a mix of creativity, discipline, cover all of your bases kind of strategy when it comes to finances. 😊

Another solution is either get second job or work ot so can buy a better car in cash. That what make Dave Ramsey plan works. Only you can make the change. I teach my 2 out of 5 children that have their own car never to have car loans. That is how people stay in debts for life is car loans.I cannot make anyone change their habits but they gotta want to change their habit for better. Sound like you may have a radiator leak. You don't need to buy new car just maybe need to budget to buy better car or get your current car repaired. Be positive and strong to overcome these issues in life. Most people do not have rainy days fund for emergency. Everyone have emergency from water heater to car repairs..

Woohoo! You are doing such a great job staying on course. I am so sorry about your car, sending prayers that you find exactly what you need without a hassle. In my experience, best place to go private party but do your research on what the car has been through. Try to find someone that has owned it forever and is just looking for something new vs. buying and turning it over for a profit.
