This is an interesting journey - ups, downs, holding steady, surprises, let-downs, and moving on. Being able to move on and hold the course is invaluable. Not that I haven't been tempted - there's a part of me that says to heck with it, treat yourself to something huge, gooey, sweet and delicious, but then when I think about it for a minute I realize I dont want that anymore. I find those rewards repulsive now and that's a good thing. Not to say I wouldn't have a taste if someone baked something special and it was an important occasion - but it would literally be the smallest bite I could put on a fork... Wow - I could not have imagined those words coming out of my mouth 8 weeks, 8 months or 8 years ago! It's amazing what a good change in WOE does to the brain as well as the body! Amazed that it didn't take longer!
I'm feeling truly converted. Afraid I'm beginning to sound like I've been brainwashed.... Funny thing - the most excited conversations I have at work are with a woman I've known for about 5 years, who I have almost nothing in common with except that we're both doing KETO. When we cross paths now, it's like we've won the lottery - talking about recipes we've tried - comparing carbs across brands, and tips to get through the work week on plan, and pans for weekend survival with company. It's really great! I get the same excitement here - seeing people's progress, and set-backs and plans to get back on track...
