Happy to see the numbers starting to go down again...surprised, too, because my TOM is coming this week.

Recently I've noticed that some of my bras no longer fit correctly (they gape on the sides of the cup when they didn't used to), so I went and resized myself for a bra, only to find that the measurements still say I'm the same size.....ssssooo, why aren't my old bras fitting properly anymore???

Went to Kohls and picked up two new ones, and found myself frustrated with the sizing in general for women's clothing. Guys are sized by inches (for their pants) where girls are done with non-essential numbers. I have a size 16 pair of jeans that fit better than a size 14 pair of a different brand (the 14s are a bit baggier). One of my friends pointed out that a Hot Topic size 11 translated to a 13 in JCPenny. I do realize that Hot Topic stuff runs smaller, but that's exactly my point. I'm tired of being lied to by designers, especially when I know they're capable of making legitimately sized clothes!!!

Heading out to PA today for a rafting trip, hoping I can maintain control considering every time I've gone back home, I return with extra weight (literally).

OK, having big boobs (a curse, I promise) I have LOTS of bra experience. They are full of elastic. That elastic over time, no matter what you do, simply gives. You can't always visibly see it, but it happens. Also, if you don't already know, bleach and elastic do not like each other and the bleach always wins: elastic eaten, go bye bye- result being saggy bra. Another possibility, is that BEFORE the bra wasn't the right size and now it is, or you gained weight after having the correct size, stretched them out with use and now that you've shrunk back, the bras are shot and don't return with you. Again, elastic is a fickle creature. Now, for a word on clothing sizes: designers and most women are crazy. It's a,'feel good,' market and as women's waists expand, they won't purchase clothes at a larger size. So they bitch and some designers react depending on their market pitch. I literally have about 4 different sizes in my closet according to where it was purchased- from an 18 to 22 and a couple of, 'junior,' 4X tight fitting shirts, which sounds crazy stupid huge, just to be trendy. My solution: TRY IT ON. Don't leave the store until you've seen it on and don't trust anyone's, 'sizing'. They all lie. Even bra companies, which could be another solution for the difference in bra size... OK done ranting. LOL Hope you had a great weekend tho!!
