We are going on a mini vacation next weekend. My diet will be totally FUBARed however I will get in a ton of walking at the amusement park so I’m hoping that compensates. I agreed to let hubby pick where we eat and to ‘not diet’ for the weekend to keep the peace.

BUT I asked him for restaurant names and am making a game plan. No nutrition info of course but I can guess and use the highest calorie values. Chicken fried steak and strip steak is what I’ll have. I’ll share the chicken fry with one of the kids to keep the portions small. I’ve had those enough I can guess fairly well on sides and they have a total steak size-yay.

The amusement park will be a challenge. Fried foods, nachos, ice cream... basically all they have. Family insisting we eat there so that’s the one I’ll have a hard time guessing. Macros won’t add up correctly though. I’m going to be excessive in calories, moderate on portions and heavy on the walking. I think I’ll do ok just hope I won’t start craving fried foods again afterward. Not to mention they are planning my ‘snacks’ and so far popcorn, nachos and a candy bar are on the menu. Here’s hoping I don’t come home 5# heavier. I’m also hoping to workout more this week to compensate:).

Maybe pack some of your own snacks to fill you up so you are not tempted. A few fat bombs or other Keto snacks could kill any cravings.

you got this! I understand how the kids and the hubby can be a lil' pain in the rumpus when they "want you to give the diet a rest" I agree with 00Marx00 maybe pack some keto snacks and feign fullness...or what I do is "share" with my toddler he is always happy to finish off the ice cream, etc. and I eat like an oz. of it to show my willingness to keep the peace LoL. I hope you all have a great time and the all damn day walking SHOULD offset some of the park food! stay hydrated and tell them you're "too hot to eat" if they get really insistent. safe journey! report back momma! 💜

Unfortunately they don’t allow outside food and drink. Two years ago when we went they searched the diaper bag haha. Had to explain that my almost 2 year old needed easy to chew/swallow snacks and yes she needed the milk as the park didn’t have any. She was in an all milk phase and wouldn’t drink water until after she had some milk. I’ll have to think of a way to sneak in beef jerky. My middle has agreed to share all meals with me as she’s a light eater and can only finish about half of a meal. That cuts my portions in half and no guilt for throwing it away! She will share as long as one meal is chicken fried steak :/. The rest I can choose within reason she said.. the stinker. Nice to have one that supports me and helps me out!
