Oh Jessa..My doctor's nurse told me to go on a low residue diet for my colitis..she has the same problem...I have been doing great with it..what it boils down too is no fiber...its harder to lose weight but at least your tummy will thank you..I looked it up on the net...check it out..:O)

Glad to see you back! I'm having some major digestive issues at the same time as TOM so I totally feel your pain. Just get back to whatever you feel you can, and we'll be here to cheer you on!

Thanks all! I will look up that low residue thing. My sister had some fiber bars once. I forgot what they were and ate a few....OOOOOO was I sick!

I hope you feel better! Definitely steer clear of the fiber bars! Try some bananas instead :)

ugh. more than one fiber bar does a number on my tummy too. sometimes i forget and eat a couple just like they were regular granola bars. bad choices!

I won't even buy them anymore! Just the thought, yuck! Fiber is soooo not necessary when you have ulcerative colitis. oooo I found a silver lining! I plan on trying banana's again. It has been years. Never liked the texture, and I am extremely texture picky. As much as I love mashed potatoes, after about 1/2 cup...start to gag. So I will be trying bananas again but no promises! And thanks for all the well wishes. My flare up is done. Back to singing and dancing around the house. :-)

I bet my eating plan would help-I suppose it's similar to low-carb/paleo but I've found it to have very little fiber (which has been a problem for me!) Glad to hear you are doing better!
