Down and doing well. I got out to REI yesterday and picked up a bunch of gear for my trip (including a new light weight tent, fuel for the camp stove, and some stuff sacks).

Yes - hope to head out on a trip around Mount Ranier. I am used to car camping -- so will be a new type of adventure for me!

OH - backpacking is an entirly different "vibe" (LOL) You can go so many places on foot via trails, and come to learn how little you really need to survive (because of course you carry it all in your pack). I haven"t backpacked in ages though, and miss it. The coolest place I went was 10 days in the Grand Canyon - spectacular!
