Woo boy! I got really busy today and had only coffee with heavy cream and 2T coconut oil until 4:30 p.m. -- a 16.5-17 hour fast today. I quickly ate two already-hard-boiled eggs from the fridge when I finally got home from my errands at 4:25 p.m.

I had a slight headache. It was very important for me to have those eggs ready in the refrigerator. I wasn't ravenously hungry, but I really needed to eat.

When I got up this morning, my blood sugar was 136 mg/dL, the lowest morning reading so far. I took my normal dose of Victoza (1.8 units), 40 units of Levemir, and 10 units of Humalog, but had nothing but my coffee, heavy cream, and coconut oil. When I got home at 4:25 p.m., not having eaten any carbohydrates or protein all day, my blood sugar was 82 mg/dL -- normal, not low, not bottoming out!

My average blood sugar for the past seven days is 131 mg/dL -- dropping a few milligrams a day now -- and I've lost 7.5 lbs. since May 6th. This is working!
215.0 lb Lost so far: 70.0 lb.    Still to go: 47.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
