See I have plenty of fat to live on :)

This starts day three of the liquid fast. Yesterday I jogged and walked 18k steps. I felt great. Today I need to get in at least 15k steps to feel the same again. After I finish this journal I will lift weights for 1/2 hour.

When fasting, water and exercise the most important things for me. I like to tell my body, "Look, you have plenty of fat to live off of" and my body seems to respond.

At this stage of the fast there is no hunger, just the mental desire to feel the sensation of eating and the pleasure it (sometimes) provides. I think 'eating' will make me happy. If that really worked, would be on this site with a fat belly? :)

My plan today is to be 'present' and seek acceptance and gratitude, the only things that provide true happiness. This requires a change in me. So I accept my fat belly for now and am grateful for the pounds I lost in the past month. I am also grateful that I finally have a tool that works (it is hard (not impossible) to cheat on the diet when you stop eating solid food). When the day brings me stress, I will try to just feel it and not try to run from it and 'medicate' myself with food. I will probably have to reach out and help a friend or colleague to feel a pleasurable sensation. Also, I am grateful I can exercise throughout the day and feel the endorphins it brings (intensified during the fast).

This is what my life is really about. If I also lose weight, that would be great too :)
201.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 38.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
