I've had flu followed by a cough for over three weeks now. Bought some meds to start with, then started reading the advice on reputable health websites. They say take your usual otc headache pills when necessary, drink plenty of water, inhale steam to help clear mucus, keep warm, and humidify your home by placing bowls of water or damp cloths around as dry air doesn't help. I've lost weight with this bug, but I think I've probably lost muscle mainly from not exercising, so not good.

I agree with Maxie on the insurance and Oil Companies! But I’d add the pharmaceutical companies to the list! And they have their filthy tentacles everywhere in government to make sure we keep paying and paying! Ugh! And they wonder why people are going back to more home remedies? Sorry to hear of your recent illness...I wish you a rapid recovery! As for the doctors I couldn't agree more, I try to go as little as possible also, due to the exorbitant charges...Ridiculous.... they only seem to increase! Even the smallest of things has become a joke....what's funny is I often leave more sick due to the bill I receive than the real illness I went to have examined. Go figure !
