Today is a new day. Thank you Lord God for it! Today I have decided that I will do better and really give my all to loosing some weight and making healthy lifestyle choices. I don't want to think about what I am eatting for the rest of my life. I want to enjoy my life and my time here on earth. So I am going to eat out less frequently and cook more homestyle meals. Which is a great challenge, as I am not a really good cook. My skills keep us alive and with good strength, but lacks flavor at times. I am a picky eater, so that may be one of the culprits. Anyway, here's to a new day dawning. Again, thank you Lord God for it.

Eating at restaurants can be so costly both in dollars and also to our health. I have been fortunate to have had a love of cooking since I was a little kid so I consider myself an accomplish cook at this stage and can cook meals from whatever is on hand without a recipe and have my family ask for me to make it again. But if you are starting from a less experienced place, take advantage of the internet. It has a wealth of healthy recipes and there are even videos so you can actually see the techniques of how a dish is prepared. Start with things you like and work your way up to being more adventurous. Good luck on your "new day"!
