SheaDlady's Journal, 21 March 2018

Back again. I am so tired after spending a few days with my Mom. she has to be watched constantly now, opens the doors in the middle of the night, doesn't realize where she is, or who we are. It's sad. I will need to go and stay more so my sister can have more than one break a month. It's sad that my brother and other sisters don't do more to help out. They all live within 5 - 15 miles of my Mom, and I live 150 miles away.

Had a similar situation. Told them we were looking at nursing homes and they started to volunteer. Worried that their inheritance would go toward the nursing home.

Bless you for helping in that way. Been there done that. It is so hard. A very sad time to see our parents become children. Thank you so much for helping your sister.

My mother was going thru the same situation, even the siblings not helping. Finally it came to a point when my gram had to go into a home. She also took care of my grandfather who had parkinsons disease. That was seven years. God holds a special place for caregivers in heaven. Good luck.
