I was just doing a regular diet watching my calories but stalled pretty fast. I am now doing keto since 3/3 and I am down 8 lbs well 15 since I started dieting but 8 from keto. I eat 1300 a day but it goes by gender age and weight. 3.2 pounds in a week is great as far as I am concerned. Great job

I'm on a whole foods plant based diet. Currently aiming for 1800 calories a day, weekends I am lazy counting calories.

Been doing keto for a few months now. Lost 22 lbs, but stalled, then gained about 3 lbs. I upped my calories to 1400. With that number of calories, I'm supposed to lose 1 lb a week. We shall see if this number works. It's hard for me to reach 1400 daily.

Nutritionist reported anything under 1200 calories is starvation level and can cause other problems in the long term.

Flexible dieting. Pretty much just count macros..., 125-150g protein 40 or less of fats, and 100g carbs on my high carb day and under 50g on low carb days. Usually results in 1700-1900 calories a day with 4 days of HIIT training. I love it and don’t get the carb depletion side affects of keto

Calories is a dangerous thing to focus on. What will lead to a healthy loss is less frequent meals, and a diet dominated by fat and proteins. It is all about providing the body with valuable nutrients, instead of empty calories.

Mine is below 1200kcal.
60% fat, 25% protein, 15% carbs. I also exercise for an hour every day.

Nutritionist is a meaningless label along the lines of integrated health practitioner, naturopath, or chiropractor. It's a fad-rideen unregulated psuedoscientific enterprise. If you really want to read up on metabollic adaptation : http://www.leighpeele.com/starvation-mode
Dietitians, personal trainers, etc.. on the other hand are actually educated and certified.
I do flexible dieting/IIFYM. I eat 2500 a day, with a maintenance of 3150. .7-.8 g/lb protein and 80g+ of fats with the rest carbs. On deficit days I'm hitting 250g of carbs a day and on maintenance days im hitting 400-500g a day. I Take a highly bio-available multivitamin every day. I do 5 days at 2500, then 2 days at maintenance. rinse and repeat. Already down to 207 from 224.

I'm doing Keto and I basically eat until I'm full. I don't worry about the calories until after, but I usually end up between 1100-1500 calories a day. Sometimes I have to try and eat MORE to get to that range. Can be a hassle sometimes.

I’m not going to call what I eat as a diet but more of healthy eating and drinking! I count my carbs and calories but I’ve cut out everything that contains sugar....sweet tea, sodas, cakes, cookies, breads, starchy vegetables, rice and potatoes. No candy or pizza 😢 or hamburgers 😢no fast food and only healthy things on menus at restaurants. I’ve found most restaurants will allow you to sub your starchy side for a healthy veggie choice or a salad if you ask. I keep my calories below 1500 because I’m not active on my job as I sit behind a desk 7-10 hours every day. I started contrave at the end of January and it helps with cravings and my mood so I don’t get “hangry”. Praying you find what works for you. I’ve lost 17 lbs since January 29th and I’m still fighting the fight!
