I am also weighing myself daily. How does that sit with you? I find it kinda annoying but do not see any other way to keep track of my plateau. Any advice? Thanks -Jude

I weigh once a week...I just found there was too much up and down ( +.5 -.5 lb) from day to day. Helps me keep my sanity and not overly freak out on the changes.

To be fair, I'm losing the 16 pounds I gained since Dec 20th and that weight usually comes off relatively fast when you go from eating too much sugar back to close to no sugar. So, yes I'm dropping fast, but it's regained weight. Also, I'm eating primarily meat, eggs and cheese. I had less then 2 carbs all day today. Now, I can tell you from past experience, eating really low carb only goes so far before your body says enough (the dreaded plateau) and you have to shake up your diet and try something new. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. LOL

As for weighing daily, yes I do it. I'm a very analytical person so I'm all about the numbers. No one knows what's best for you better then you, so do what works for you! :-)

Weight fluctuates every day. For many reasons. Weigh yourself every day, track it, and take the 7 day average week to week, that’ll give you the best most accurate weight and remove fluctuations. If you weighed once a week and you ate a heavy meal on Monday then Sunday. Your weight may show the same, appearing as though you lost nothing, when reality is you did lose 1 pound of body fat (random example) and gained 1 pound of water weight.

That's great! I always love seeing the scale go down and embrace non scale victories.

I weigh daily and try to tie the fluctuations to diet exercise etc to get a better understanding of what causes the change. Not sure I have had any success in that regard but now its a habit. Curious about your screen name.

Athensgym: funny story; I was trying to pick a screen name and after about 5 minutes of FS shooting down my choices, I decided to tell them they were pissing me off, to let out a little frustration. It wasn't taken and I was tired of wasting time on screen names so I kept it! lol
