I went to Applebee's after church with a friend today. Their "Slim" menu options had way too many carbs and questionable sauces that I feared would have sugar. So I opted for a burger that made me go over calories for the day. Then I came home & napped all afternoon. Feeling a bit lazy now & trying to motivate to go to the gym. Ugh, where's my positive mood when I need it most? I'm not handling this "meh" mood very well

a burger is an excellent ocassional splurge. muscles need that kind of protein and good for keto.

It is better to get too many carbs than too many calories. If the calories are too high, it doesn't matter how much came from what source. Getting the macro nutrition in balance helps you keep the calories down without feeling bad but macro nutrition ballance will not make you lose weight on its own.

Good choice! Calories are NOT created equal and it is not a problem to go over on calories if you're getting low enough on carbs and avoiding the junk, which it sounds like you did. :) However, the blah feeling maybe indicates they had stuff in there that food that was not helpful to you? Good luck ditching the 'meh' factor!

Yes, good call on avoiding carbs! Calorie sources are crucial. If not from quality high fats and moderate protein, best to skip.

Thanks guys❣️ & I made it to the gym! Did about 30 min on the elliptical. I could've gone more but I wanted to be home in time for America's Funniest Home videos. That always puts me in a good mood!

I never eat the bun anywhere , must restaurants have let me remake what I want to eat if going out
