Amen, Sister! Aging does make us slower to heal and more vulnerable to falls but exercise minimizes the risk. So you go girl!

I am glad the swelling is down on your Ankle. I am sorry if it hurts. I have a treadmill at my ex husband's place i need to bring to my place but don't have a truck or enough men to move it..lol I have weights and all kinds of exercise things just not motivated enough. i think once i get the treadmill here i will be more ready. you are not old! my mom is 73 going on 100.. trust me you are not old. you are smart and beautiful and very inspiring..

Thank you Cherik love, but I do feel older at times well I'm not as active as I was ...I'm a energize bunny as my hubby will say and that I never slow down but I have slowed down and I do rest...the pain is so much better so I need not complain...I have an older treadmill hubbys mama gave to us I need to get more motivated too.... maybe we can motivate each other lol...your a beautiful woman yourself my friend looking at that picture but that inner beauty is just in magnitude and radiates through your sweet and inspiring words;)

I have been approaching things with the motto: 15 minutes and then you can quit! Of course, once past that 15 minutes I am on my way! Great realizations and I hope you find a strength training that you like.

I personally have not had success with weights at home. I have to get up and go. Even though I don't want to....I always feel better when I come home. Good luck with the ankle.

I have been thinking along these lines, too! My dad fell and broke his foot a few weeks ago. He said the frustrating part is he doesn’t have the muscle strength to comfortably move around with a broken foot. It has inspired me to want to get in shape and strengthen my own muscles...then if need be I can use them more effectively!🙂
