21/2/18 - Been intermittent fasting since 7th January to reduce fat loss and improve overall health & wellbeing. Can really see and feel the benefits in terms of improved body shape and stamina. As with anything new I'm monitoring things carefully and listening to my body. I began with a fasting period of 19 hours with a 5 hour eating window for 5 days. Normal eating for 2 days.
Last week I incorporated 2 x 24 hour fasts but found I was feeling really hungry after the 2nd one. So now just going to incorporate 1 24 hour fast in midweek and continue with my 19 hour fast for 5 days.

I'm just curious if you misspoke? You said to reduce fat loss so, what did you mean just to reduce fat? Have you taken measurements?

Lol healthyspacepanda! I'm happy with my body except for that stubborn bit on the lower abs. Want to shift it completely but it's proving to be so stubborn!Seriously, I started fasting for the overall health benefits & so far I feel great. Good luck with your fasting too.

That's great that you've found what's working well for your body! It's so exciting when we get into a good rhythm with good results. I love IF. It has been exactly what my body needs. I also do one 24 hour fast per week. I kind of found the same thing, that for me to do more than 1 in a week, I wasn't feeling as good. Most days I follow a 16/8 schedule.

I keep an 8 hour window to eat. The rest of the day is coffee and tea only. I usually don't eat a lot and it is hard to eat a lot in 8 hours. With my 3rd shift work I have to do my eating 6 hours before I go home to bed or KILLER heart burn so I usually eat from 5pm - 2am unless I have to keep human hours then my last meal is at 3pm. My poor body is so confused.

It takes a while for the body to get used to this Rebeccaberg but stick with it for the long term health benefits? Nothing is set in stone & don't keep looking at the clock? If you're hungry eat. I'm finding now that even with a 24 hours fast I'm not starving because of the increased fat I'm consuming. Good look & listen to what your body wants?

Another great tip is to try not thinking about food. Lol! 😂 Do something to take your mind off eating & the hours fly by!
