Today was sunny and felt like spring! Always a boost in mood when the weather improves. On the flip side, our furnace died Sunday night 😞having a new one installed tomorrow. Trying to keep my toddler warm at night until then.
I have been off a little since the wedding trip last weekend—determined today to regroup. I fasted 16+ hours— wasn’t hungry. Had a great low carb dinner. Thinking I’m going to try intermittent fasting and see how that works for me. I have a doctor friend who sent me some info about it and how he lost 33lbs over 3 months with fasting. It goes against everything I’ve learned about dieting thus far...not sure what to believe anymore!
Thank you all for your amazing support—I wanted to quit yesterday but didn’t want to let you all down haha! Hope you’re all happy and doing well!

Thank you for not quitting. Your support (and other FS friends) are what is keeping me focused. I'm foing 16/8 fasting every day. Often I'm not hungry when 16 comes around. I don't know about longer. You have to see what works for you. We can do it if we stay together. ❤

I do intermittent fasting- 16 hours I fast, 8 hours I eat. It definitely helps!!

I'm doing Keto IF 16:5. I fast for 16 hours, eat keto for 5, up to my caloric intake for the day. Seems to be working so far. good luck. Hope you get great results.

Glad you didnt quit, I never tried fasting I think I would become grouchy lol Good luck!

@8Patty, Trust me I am..It was easy when I was alone, house full of dogs, and men( word used loosely) makes me want to go into seclusion and do it alone..much easier =)

Thanks everyone! Hugs to you all!! For those who do intermittent fasting, when you do eat, do you eat all your calories for the day? So if I plan to eat 1400 cals a day I just eat them all during the hours I’m not fasting? I can’t find clear guidance for this! Thanks!

for me. I fast 16-20 hours( this includes sleep) then for 5 hours I eat. For me I am doing Keto with calories restriction atm. so you would add in whatever iet plan your doing. And your caloric intake, some do 8 hours eating time. I do 5. So, during those 5 hours I eat what I am allowed to eat in that 5 hour period, and then I fast again.So, if you say keto, and allowed 2000 calories, you would consume them within your hours allotment to eat, then fast again.

Jason Fung Complete Guide to Fasting will tell you everything you need to know. I am doing 16:8 this month...i eat no more than 1200 calories in 8 hours. Feb i will add 36 hour fasts on the weekend for just the month.
