skewed scale's Journal, 21 January 2018

Back to the beginning weight. So sad but I'm trying to stay positive and encourage myself. Today is another Day 1. I've meal prepped for half the week and I have my gym schedule down. Ive written down my goals and I will start using this app faithfully again. What really encouraged me today was rereading my previous journal entries and seeing that I can make progress. One day, one meal, one workout at a time. Here I go!

Also remember, when you start working out lactic acid will build up in your muscles, which will retain water. Massage and stretch to clear that out. If you see weight gain initially it’s water weight. After 5 days, your true weight will start showing. Hang in there!

If you don't want to be sore after the gym drink a bottle of water before, a bottle during and at least a bottle after. The water helps flush the lactic acid out of your muscles. You can't actually stretch lactic acid out of your muscles but stretching does help them to not stiffen up too badly.
