Debbie Cousins's Journal, 18 January 2018

Wednesday, 1/17/18 - Looks like the database won't let me go back and record a journal entry for yesterday. But, here's the gist of the day. I bravely allowed myself to count the NET CARBS (26.48) and to exceed the Total Carbs (32.68). Before I ate the Saltines & Butter, my stomach was bothering me (diarrhea), and that has been something that has helped to calm it in the past. So, even though I KNEW it would put me slightly over on my Total Carbs, I decided to go for it, knowing that I would still be within my NET Carbs. (Mind you, I “normally” would have had SIX saltines; but, fortunately, I researched it ahead of time to see just how many I COULD have and still stay within my limits.)

I’m finding that I am spending almost my entire day just trying to keep up with meeting & supporting our growing LDHF Challenge members (which is now 55 participants!) and faithfully posting on my new Group “Christian Community”. Thankfully, I am retired and HAVE the time to do this. By the way, ALL of you are officially invited to join the Christian Community Group (or to invite friends you think might benefit from it). It's actually not JUST for Christians, but for anyone who needs prayer or wants to get encouragement from the Word of God.

I’m pretty sure I lost weight yesterday, after FINALLY having my bowels move after almost a week! BUT, I’m going to wait until tomorrow to weigh, and then I’ll weigh again on Monday morning. (Trying to NOT weigh every day).

I have great success with magnesium citrate to keep everything moving through smoothly. When I forget to take it, things get backed up. Worth a try.

Plus also keeping the fiber up to the 15+g. That means more veggies or fiber supplements.

THANKS, Erika. I checked my stats for this week, and my Fiber has only been between 3.2 and 6.2. Good advice, and I’ll work on that!
