JOURNAL: GOSH. Just cannot not believe two conflicting events that occur each time I do a 42hr fast. 1. I do not experience hunger (since Keto) and 2. My Blood sugar (although better) is still relatively high . Why when my fasting is sugar free ( even NO trace and no sugar substitutes). Makes me think…I am still at the edge of the dark woods!!! Whistling. Diabetes.

I think the blood sugar thing is actually ketosis doing its job. We see a similar dump by our livers when we wake up. It’s why we can actually go for long periods in the morning without food if we don’t think about it. Dr. Fung mentions this in “The Obesity Code.” 🙋🏻

Yup, the “dawn phenomenon “, a hormonal mechanism that kicks in to prepare your body for the start of the day

I agree with SMP, but I'm not sure where I learned that over the years. Do some more research into this to help put your mind at ease.

Looking at you journal your carbs are low, could it be the protein too much protein turns to carbs? What is you blood sugar an hour after a meal?
