ClarityAnn's Journal, 16 December 2017

Been a busy few days. Spent a lot of last night and today on the phone with some of my family in Florida who are just finding out about my baby granddaughter. So there was a lot of talking lol. Also, baby girl is eating more baby food mixed with cereal meals and less bottles. She will be 8 months old in a week. Gonna try to get her a sippie cup as she doesn’t seem to want bottle anymore. She’s still working on sitting up by herself and has accomplished it a few times now. Yay! Then she loses her balance and over she goes 😂. She’s determined though, like her grandma and she keeps at it. She will be going home Sunday night as the nurse will come for her weekly visit on Monday to weigh and check her out. Yep, I’m going with her!! Darn skippy! 😜😜. Talked to my son for a long time today. He wants her home but did agree it’s best for her to be with me for now, until he can figure out what’s going on with home life and wife 😒.
Ate a late lunch today. Finally got around to recording it around dinner time. May or may not eat another meal today. Will wait and see. I made bbq pulled pork for everyone else. It smelled wonderful. I won’t touch it though. Honey bbq sauce. Way too much sugar!
I am finding more of a routine/groove with the baby here. So I’m accomplishing more around the house in a day. I now know all of her signs, when she’s tired. When she’s hungry, teething pain, diaper change etc. I’ve also realized I don’t HAVE to occupy her or hold her every second she’s awake lol. It’s a grandma thing lol. I just wanted to hold and rock her all the time! Now when she’s tired, I rock her for a few minutes, sing a song, then lay her in her bed. She flips and flops around a few minutes and goes right to sleep. Seems she feels more comfortable with things now too.
Ok. I’m done updating and rambling. Need to see about laundry before she wakes up again for next feeding. Hope everyone is doing well and staying on track! ❤️

Oh God ClarityAnn,when you said Brooke was trying to sit up I about lost it.she should be walking around at her age.she's lagging in all departments because of her parents.your doing everything you can to bring her up to speed bless you.l don't trust them with her at this time in her life.Do You?your son saying that the should stay with you longer for now because he is letting you in so many words we suck and my wife really doesn't give a dam.that bastard wife yelling in the babies face to stop crying,we know what's next the shaking and brain damage.God forbid but this is a warning when you go with the nurse make sure you cover all the I'm venting over Brooke, sorry my friend.well lm glad you got a piece of the workout☺get a good rest and keep up the good fight.good night lol E.

Like I said E, I love your passion about things. Yes. I made it pretty darn clear to my son, that either I take over, or CYS may take her. Baby girl can go home for visits but I go with her and they (or he) can come here anytime to see her. I’m just happy that he was open to honestly talking about it instead of being all hard headed and defensive as he had been last few times we talked. Progress!! Brooke and I will go to their house tomorrow night and stay over, but I take care of her, even there. After nurses visit she and I will come back to my house.

How generous and sweet of you to take care of your granddaughter like that. She might not be that far behind, my little daughter didn't walk until she was one. Keep up the good work grandma, the world needs more women like you!

You're doing just exact the right thing dear ClarityAnn! Let the nurse see her and afterwards back home to grandma, to be safe and cared for. Brooke is really lucky to have you, don't let this beast of woman (I won't call her "mother") have the chance to harm her own child any more....oah, that makes me really angry, just to think of such behavior...have a happy 3. Advent 🌟🌟🎄🌟
