So many people struggling with a lot more than a weight problem. Things are definitely awry in this world - like they're finding obese kids with malnutrition. A big part is the belief held for a good while that man made is better for us than nature made.
The human race survived a long, long, long time on eggs, butter, milk, meat and then along came big business and persuaded us that margarine was better for us, grains were better for animals than grass - processed food was better than natural - and so on. Governments backed them up and hey presto an obesity epidemic, diabetes and more mental health problems. Constantly running our brain on glucose rewires pathways. Brain cells die and aren't replenished, but they can be replenished if we follow Mother Nature.
For all of you who are close followers of a Middle Eastern Religion - Christianity, Judaism, Islam - all from the same area - what was eaten by your Saviour? If man made options were best surely they'd have given them to mankind and not waited until the 19/20th century. Plus those of us who live in temperate zones don't always need to follow the strict diet guidelines of the hot, desert/fertile areas of the Middle East but we also don't need to fill animals full of antibiotics either.
Sorry rant over. It just annoys me when I read about 'God's will' and do what Jesus/Allah etc say but believe more in man.
