Last week, a series of events and emotions led me to the grocery store looking for snacks. Old habits were telling me to fill up junk, but when I got to that isle, potato chips and candy glared at me with sullen eyes. From home, my taste buds had assured me that this was what I wanted, but when I got there, my stomach rebelled.
"You will not put that crap in me!" It said.
My mournful eyes spied a shining bag of chicharones. Snack heaven! I grabbed two bags of the zero carb treat and made my way to the checkout.

So, I have adapted to the diet! Instead of going over on carbs, I went over on protein. My blood glucose was slightly elevated the next day, but I am still in ketosis. Yay!
