minitata's Journal, 30 September 2017

I need to learn to eat. I've now learnt how not to. I'm fasting today and will eat tomorrow. When I'm on an eating day it's as if I have to eat everything that appears nearby. I need to work out proper portion sizes too.

I actually put on 2 kilos yesterday - with one day's eating - or overeating.

I've got 2 new fit bands to road test today. 2 smart watches last week. If anyone would like one - they're cheap and cheerful ones - send me a message and I'll get them in the post.

That's very kind of you, Mini - I'd take you up on it but I already have my Fitbit. I read your comment a good while back and I've been pondering on ideas to help. The only one I can think of is to plan exactly what you will eat, buy to the recipe and stick to the plan. Pretty boring, isn't it? It's the only thing I can think of though. Sorry I'm not much help xx

do you think non-eating days aren't the answer? I'm just curious as I've seen lots of people talk about fasting. I'm not sure how I'd handle that, it must be difficult for you. maybe the mindset of not eating and able to eat is difficult.

what phooka has said is spot on, if you plan what your going to eat on the days you eat will work like a treat hopefully. good luck

I think I'd be like that if I fasted too. How about intermittent fasting? Perhaps that would work better for you, Mini.

I find I have to plan what I'm eating after fasting OMAD was great fir getting me in the swing of fasting but doesn't help me to lose weight, just maintain Like you, if I fast then eat carbs, my weight sky rrockets.. one step forward, 2 steps back Also like you, the picture is tgen futher complicated by managing chronic illnesses, the stresses that do with this, medication, limited mobility , inflammation etc Different strokes fir different folks, but planning will help you to feel in control and judge what works for u 🤗🤗
