kingkeld's Journal, 30 March 2012

Weight is STILL coming down! Honestly, I had expected a little gain today – simply because. I’ve had a lower weigh-in every single day all week, and of course I don’t mind – but can it keep happening? Today I weigh in at 77.3 kgs, only 400 grams from my goal of being less than 77 kgs by Tuesday morning.

It’s Friday, folks!

This means that I will be rockin’ with The Black Peanut, and I am sooooo looking forward to this. It’s been weeks since last rehearsal, and we have new songs to learn and old songs to make sure we still remember. It’ll be a blast.

Traditionally, I always lose a lot of weight from Friday to Saturday. I’m very curious if this will happen this time. I’ve changed some habits this week, like not eating snacks at night, and making damn sure I get on that exercise bike in the morning EVERY day. This has given me great results all week, and I am wondering if this will affect tomorrow’s weigh in. Will it just give me an EXTRA boost that I am playing with the band, or will it just be a ”normal” weigh-in, since I have been shedding a lot of weight this week already? I have no idea. I’ll make sure to keep you posted on this, though.

I want to take a moment to tell you all how much I appreciate you guys rooting for me. It really means a lot. I get so much recognition and appreciation from you guys, and I am so thankful. It keeps me going and it makes me super proud of what I have accomplished.

I feel bad that I don’t comment as much as I used to on your journals. These days work really takes up a big chunk of my excess energy, and I find myself less and less at the PC at home. I think it also has to do with me being less heavy, I find that there are other things I can do instead of simply sit’n’surf. This is NOT a bad thing, though I do miss doing it sometimes. I just can tell that I have too much energy to simply sit there.

I see the same thing happening with Facebook. I used to be super active on my Facebook page. Then I started on the weight loss journey, and I made it a rule to not only weigh in here on Fatsecret, but also on Facebook. Now, after I reached my goal the first time, I only report my weight on Facebook once a week – Saturdays – to keep myself in check with my friends, and I really find that I don’t have too much else to say there. I post some fun stuff now and then, but I really don’t spend time as I used to, and I really don’t check it that often.

Honestly, I prefer to spend the time here on Fatsecret. I like to read your journals (I read them every day), and I like to read the forum, but it’s not always I get to comment. I hope you guys know that I am there regardless, and that I AM following you.

Many times I read from my phone or Tabby, and it’s not too comfortable to type, and this doesn’t exactly motivate me to comment either. I always enjoy reading, though.

There is a video called Hungry For A Change, which has been mentioned a lot around here lately. My buddy jsfantome recommended it in the comments to my journal yesterday. Wife and I watched it last night, and it’s really interesting. I gotta say that I knew most of it already, not much new info for me, but it’s great to get a reminder, and it’s super motivating to see all these people who have reached weight loss goals that are so incredible. Thanks to everyone who has pushed this movie, and I hope more get to see it. Today is the last day you can watch it for free. If you’re interested, check out the forum search engine, and search for ”Hungry for a change”. You’ll find it. :)

I’m at work early today. I had nothing to do at home, so I decided to go in and save up comp time. Actually, I’m writing my journal from here right now. :) Nice. Tabby is sitting next to me, and playing the new DVD from Iron Maiden. Remind me again why I should do this from home?

Today I am thankful for:

Any chance you guys have some of your music online so we can go check it out? Maybe you have a song that can be our weight-loss theme :)
